Business Cards, just one easy way to
increase your business

Business Cards are sometimes under-rated, however this is just one small way to improve business. There are several professional organizations and business centers which make it a goal to aid small businesses. For example, the Cochise College Small Business Development Center, which provides one-on-one counseling on writing business plans, also investigates local demographics, provide the best resources for business cards, and teaches how to keep records (among other important things).

Besides free individual counseling, the center offers many courses to help you run your business more successfully, including their six-week business planning course, covering everything from keeping your cards on you at all times, to establishing authority within your company. The center works with about 1,800 people each year and offers expertise on nearly any business, from bookstores to construction, with the help of the Arizona Small Business Development Center Network.

"It can be a valuable resource whether you have a home-based business or are a part of a large organization," said Farrow, co-chairwoman of the Chamber's Diplomats and Women in Business committees. But members need to take advantage of opportunities like the Chamber's leadership course and resources for small things such as business cards. "It's a great way to get to know the community and learn how you fit into it, Farrow said."

Some of the basics on how to run a more successful business are simple things like networking and getting involved with the community, through charity for example. Situations like this prove a perfect opportunity to pass out your business cards. Also, how it's important to establish role positions within your company, rather than treating your employees as co-workers. Easy things like this can really help a business get above the competition.
